A week or so ago God did a work in my husband and James proposed that we start each day with a covenant. A covenant with each other and God, to be uplifting to one another, say only sweet and kind things...it has been wonderful.
And being Christians we should act and have this mindset anyway, and this has been a reminder for us to act accordingly, there is something about this...it's purposeful.
It's not as if James and I fought all the time or didn't get along, we had a good relationship due to our relationship with Christ, our covenant has deepened our love for each other. It hasn't felt like it has taken effort or been difficult to keep up with, it feels so natural...this is what God meant for marriage. Thank you Lord for this new found love for my husband.
